Welcome to the Butterflies class!

We are a class of Year R children. We have lots of fun in our class. We enjoy learning and working together as a team, we learn from and support each other both inside and outside the classroom.

We have lots of lovely things to use in our classroom that help us learn and we also have a great outdoor learning space.

Autumn Term Newsletter

Autumn is a special time here at Bodsham. We have enjoyed our first term together and the world around us has provided a wealth of opportunies. Our beautiful Bodsham tree has given us plenty of things for our Autumn table...

We have even used conkers for counting and adding...

We also used fircones to create a 'fine motor forest', writing the number in each circle as we added each cone...

We have also enjoyed the harvest festival at Elham church and we celebrated Autumnal gifts at school too by making our 'awesome Autumn apple crumble'.

This term we have started our Traditional Tales topic. We have done some super writing about the stories covered so far and we have also enjoyed retelling the story through activities such as story maps, sequencing and role play.

We have done some super learning outside the classroom too. Both in our beautiful outdoor area and beyond. We have been on our first mini bus ride to the Three Hills Sports Park for an inter-school fun day. The event organisers said we were the best dancers there!

We have also been working with ICT both in our classroom and the ICT suite. Here we are making symmetrical butterflies...

Butterflies class have had a great start to the year. Well done to all the children and a huge thank you to thier parents and carers for all the hard work they have been doing at home.
